Niah Caves Visit

The Niah Caves long ride

On the 27th & 28th of June 2009, the four of us (Me, GRD, Asyraf & Eddy) went to Niah Caves for a visit. Located around an hour from Miri city, we set off not so early from our hotel in Miri (Pacific Orient Hotel) and rode on for a cool adventure. It was a perfect sunday with the sun shining bright & clear skies which made the journey even better. After an exhausting day (around 3 hours or more) at the caves, we began our return trip home. All was going well until we reached the Seria bypass stretch enroute home, the sky opened up and rain poured like an open faucet. Riding at night in heavy rain was a challenge, but we got through it safely. Exhausted, wet & cold, we reached BSB at around 9pm. As we said our goodbyes to each other, I knew overall, it was a trip well worth it and should be experienced by everyone who loves riding bikes. My butt may be numb & my right wrist may be sore from all the throttle twisting, but the four of us slept peacefully that night with a smile on our faces. Cheers!!
